Blizzard Entertainment today announced the new measures it is taking in the fight against World of Warcraft players who misuse the chat system in the game. The new measures have been given a fantastic title, "The Silence Penalty," and comes with significant consequences.
As a part of this the punishment, anyone who is reported more than instances under either the "Spam" and "Abusive Chat" categories will have their account snubbed. It will happen only, following an investigation by Blizzard's department.
It is important to note that the Silence Penalty does not completely shut down a player as they are able to "whisper" in chat rooms with World of Warcraft and Battle.net friends, and respond to whispers of non-friends and so on. While under the penalty, players are not able to buy WoTLK Classic Gold send out in-game messages or invitations to parties, nor engage in conversations in any way or other global channels.
