Cross is the best pass blocking offensive tackle in this draft, and that's a fact. Therefore, to see him fall to the No. 13 spot just seems unbelievable to me. I get how this happened with they way their mock was forming, but I still can't believe it.
It wasn't too long ago that I had Cross entered into the Panthers on No. 6. I was skeptical that there was a chance he wasn't available. There are downside concerns with Cross that are causing some (including me) to pick Evan Neal above him as the second best offensive tackle in the draft. However, I'd still be awestruck to observe the Falcons and Seahawks trading him.
However, if the Texans get to leave with Kayvon Thibodeaux AND Charles Cross as this mock has been planned, will it be a night of celebrations in Houston.
Everyone and their brother has Sauce Gardner as the best cornerback this season, and I can see it. It is obvious that the second best CB will be Derek Stingley Jr, and I understand that too. The mock of Kiper/McShay is off the rails for me.

Elam is better than each of Hill as well as Booth Jr. to me I think he's falling. Mel almost certainly confirms that he picked Hill early because he personally enjoys his company, which doesn't hurt, but scares me a lot. Picking a player who exclusively played slot corner during college in the 18th round is really worrying to me.
I saw Hill entering the late 20s to a team that was in the playoffs, but more importantly after Elam was off the board.
This is another Mel pick and he's admitted that Watson is a little raw and yet I'm amazed that the pick is No. 22 in the Packers together with some of the other talent left available.
Traylon Burks, and Jahan Dotson both go later with me, and I have higher ratings for both players. It's quite a shock to observe Watson taking this position with regard to his upside Green Bay will be in dire need of an experienced, Madden NFL 23-ready receiver who can immediately be a major contributor.
I can't deny Watson's physical abilities could make him a top first rounder, but I don't like him playing alongside Aaron Rodgers.
Linderbaum is as secure as any pick in the last five years. Seriously. Yes, he's center which is a undervalued position However, Linderbaum is a plug-andplay decade-plus player who could have a couple of Pro Bowls during his time.
This mock has him going to the Jaguars with the first selection in the 2nd round. The problem I have is that I'm unable to imagine any smart, well-managed playoff team who doesn't grab the chance to solidify what's in their middle line even if there's no urgent need.
Linderbaum is just too wonderful to allow this to happen.
It's true that it's a second round pick , but I'd say this is the worst thing to happen.
To my eyes, Seattle seems intimately aware of the future, and is recognizing that they're going to be a bad team in 2022. In fact, I envy this about them. This is a team playing to add depth and have made an impact in the QB-heavy environment during the 2023 Madden NFL 23 Draft.
Corral feels like an unnecessary loss in a waterway this deep. It also muddies the water before we reach next year. If you're not planning to start his training immediately, so that you can assess, you're discarding a pick right now and making it extremely difficult to justify having a QB next year.
I'm not expecting Seattle being a victim of this considering the talent that cheap mut 23 coins remains on the board.
