The primary developers behind Diablo 4 have stressed that they do not want players to "feel that they have to pay to win" in the event that the game is released in the coming year.
In the latest Diablo 4 livestream(opens in new tab) Game director Joe Shely, along with associate game director Joesph Piepiora as well as community manager Adam Fletcher gave fans an update on all things Diablo 4, as well as offering a glimpse on how things will play out in advance of the game's release next summer.
During the livestream, the trio discussed what they thought of the Diablo 4 battle pass (around 39:15 within the following video) as well as the coming seasons of the game. The chapter-based mechanic will offer players various goals as they progress through the seasons and allows them to earn in-game rewards in exchange for the characters they play. "All of the seasonal content is free. It's not attached to the battle pass buy Diablo 4 Gold," Shely adds.
