Gosh, this seems so complex. On the 1 hand, kudos for keeping the game intact so there will not be a riot over fluctuations people do not like. Synchronizing 100% character models doesn't seem simple. The problem is that the older outfits and coating wear are modeled to match the older pso2 body. To be able to synchronize it, they'd have to recreate from scratch (haha pun) 8 decades of makeup. That's unlikely to happen. Well, I mean that I'd be willing to shed a certain percentage of these makeup to keep things intact across versions. Provided that there's a steady feed of cool new stuff to replace it, I don't mind. I always rotate out my old appearances anyhow. As long as the character models translate 1:1 it will still feel like mine.

The instance I can think of is that the Dragon Hunter Frontier Z collaboration where I can imagine the clothes and weapons could unquestionably be provided a visual upgrade together with everything else but that I do not exactly know how the licensing or the way the lawful side of the cooperation works where I'd wish it was as simple as Sega going through and updating the resources but I do not understand about how much of Capcom is involved in this procedure.

The same is applicable to collaborations like the Final Fantasy XIV collaboration with Odin (which exists as far as I know) where I do not know how much of Square Enix is involved that for Sega to be able to upgrade assets . When it was only just Phantasy Star-related things (such as character outfits, cameos from different Pso2 buy meseta na games, or alternative Sega-related possessions ) I could imagine that this likely would have been done, or at least would be done. But in the Global variant we don't have the existence of Cougar NX therefore I do not know if there are other complications regarding Sega's properties that might also contribute not to upgrading everything they can within reason.
