There's been precedent for Blizzard taking away NPCs removed from games with WoTLK Classic Gold. Two NPCs named in honor of popular WoW player Swifty were removed from the game quietly during the summer. Blizzard did not provide a reason behind the change, however, that the elimination of these NPCs were prompted by accusations of sexual violations. Actor Quinton Flynn, the voice actor who voiced Kael'thas as the character in Sunstrider on the game World of Warcraft and WoW's Burning Crusade expansion, saw his voice removed from WoW in the spring of this year. Again, no specific explanation was given for the decision, however it's believed as a result of sexual harassment accusations made against Flynn at the same time.
However, even if his NPCs are taken away and his quests are reworked players are wondering if any Blizzard-related action could be considered symbolic enough, due to the fact that his actions were well-known to the management team, including Brack himself. Players are beginning to hold protests during games in response to the lawsuit's allegations. many claiming they've cancelled their gaming subscriptions and taking advantage of the remaining game time in their accounts to encourage others to follow suit.
