Can there be Multiplayers as well as Cross-Progression?

In a technical sense, Resurrected doesn't change much of the core gameplay from the original game. That was the intent, according to D2R Ladder Items Blizzard. There are however, some changes to the game which aim to make dungeon exploration and growing power easier for the character you pick. One of the biggest changes that relate with the movement and management of loot is the new shared stash, which allows players to easily share things with different characters.


In the first game, in order to share items with all your characters, you'd have to find an available server take your gear, change to a new character and take the items with them to accomplish this. This new mechanic doesn't substantially alter the game's play, but it will make life easier for those with a lot of dedication a bit more manageable.In our conversation about game design Andre Abrahamian, he explained that a lot of the more complex and obscure game elements still have meaning.


"When we were re-visiting Diablo and even 20 years later, I realized that there's still a lot of fantastic elements in this game," he explained. "There's still a lot of enjoyment to get from it. So, one of our game pillars is to keep the fun that the original. There's a lot of things in the game, a lot of wonderful elements.


The game has helped define a genre, the action-RPG genre as we call it. While it's an old game, many of the intriguing design elements remain relevant through to the present day in fascinating ways, and provide a variety of interesting story-telling moments for players.
