There wouldn't be a patch release without balance WOW WOTLK Classic Gold improvements as well as a plethora of updates to the game's classes, systems and covenants in particular, with PvP specifically getting a major update. A number of classes are getting completely updated or revamped PvP abilities and gear for PvP is now sporting a lower item level than comparable PvE gear but will rise to an item level higher when playing PvP. Many covenant abilities are being balanced, and so are other features of the game's Dungeons as well as raids.
Torghast which is the game's Rogue-like-inspired dungeon, is being significantly modified, including fewer floors each run and the introduction of an entirely different scoring method. Although initially entertaining, the game, has become a bit of a hassle for many playerssince it's the sole way to earn Soul Ash currency used to create Legendary items. This is why players have flogged the dungeon ad nauseum it's a problem the latest modifications to the Torghast formula can hopefully alleviate.
A new patch also implies different systems, similar to the previously criticized Shards of Domination. The new passive bonuses that are able to be integrated into specific pieces of gear from the Sanctum of Domination raid--have already angered several players. Many now feel forced to make their Legendary item twice, which is a significant gold and time investment, in a new equipment slot so as to not overlap with new gear which supports Shards of Domination. However, Blizzard will at least throw players an iceberg with the option of having the new and recreated Legendary items automatically be able to use an item socket for gems.
