OSRS Thieving Guide: 1-99 Training Old School Runescape

Thieving is one of the most sought-after skills for players who are members only. It provides a great way to earn money, without engaging tough opponents in combat. Similar to most abilities most skills, the best results require the highest level of proficiency, which is why we're he

How Should I Get Started with this OSRS Thieving Guide?

If you're looking to make the money or you're looking to add the sweet skill cape to your collection, you'll first need to ensure that you have turned off you "Attack" option in your game controller settings. This will ensure that you don't hitting an opponent you're trying pickpocket.

While special equipment can be beneficial for pickingpocketing, none of it is critical. It's the Rogue outfit is probably the most beneficial investment for those making this move with a budget in mind, as it will allow you to take home a second bag of goods. Whichever investment you choose this method can be used by anyone of any degree.

Useful Equipment

Ardougne Cloak 3 and 4 gives a 10% less chance of being found out stealing

Rogue outfit: allows double loot

Gloves of Silence

Maple Blackjack (optional for Blackjacking)

Dodgy Necklace (optional, suitable for lower levels but useless for Blackjacking)

Niveau 1-38 (Ardougne)

If you have the Ardougne cloak, then you'll be at a great advantage for your initial leveling. Begin pickpocketing Men and Women until you reach level 5. If you'd like, can finish your Fight Arena quest for 2175 Theft experience and go straight into level 14. Personally, I think it's worth the time investment However, if you're an expert in queering, you can move to the cake stands at level five. This has the added benefit of feeding you, which is crucial for lower-level characters, as criminality increases as you advance.

538 Level: Alternate (Varrock Tea Stall)

This makes for straightforward levels, but it won't be as fast like the above method. The best part about this method is that it doesn't get caught, so it's a low-impact way to level up. It's located on the East side of the city, it's located near the bank if you're looking to keep your riches.

Stage 38-55 (Warrior Women or Master Farmers)

Which NPC you choose will depend on your priorities which NPC you choose to join. Master Farmers will provide you with a substantial amount of cash with the seeds you select with an enlightened amount of exp per hour as compared to pickingpocketing Warrior Women. But both methods offer an impressive amount of exp per hour. Your progress should be pretty swift, although it can be tedious work.

Level 55+ (Blackjacking)

This method requires that you have completed the quest The Feud. If you're not able to finish the task, don't wish to be wasting time, or if you're bored by Blackjack, you may want not to use this method and go with the other procedure below.

After you've completed your challenge, The Feud, travel to Pollnivneach, where you are blackjacking Bandits along with Menaphite Thugs. Attempt to knock out your opponent. If you succeed, steal them even if they're not conscious two times and repeat.

If you fail, pickpocket them once quickly to interrupt their attack and then attempt to knock them out again. This technique can yield a substantial volume of time-based experience regardless of the target you're working with.

If you're at a sufficient combat level, you can begin to blackjack Menaphite Thugs around approximately level 60. But, you could face trouble with them if you do not succeed and you engage them in combat. Keep Bandits until you reach level 65 or 70 prior to moving on to Menaphite Thugs to ensure you can handle it.

Like all theft methods carrying food with you is only beneficial to you. We suggest recording your food and selling it to merchants prior to repurchasing it. You'll earn as much as 200K experience per hour and can use this until level 99 if you'd prefer.

Level 55+ Alternate (Knights of Ardougne)

If you choose not to blackjack at level 55, another great option to get to the next level is by pickingpocketing those Knights of Ardougne. When you reach this point, you should make sure that you have the level 2 Ardougne Cape because it will greatly benefit all the pickpocketing you'll be doing until the level of 90.

Complete the intermediate-level Ardougne Diary tasks, so you're all set to go. Trap one of the knights inside a home in the market. Or, look for a place in which someone has already entrapped the knight. You'll be able to send pickpockets until you're satisfied.

The best part about this method is that it can provide an abundance of cash than blackjacking. But the bad news, for some, is that it is rather boring and dull sometimes. No one said getting this skill cape wasn't going to take some effort! If this approach is dragging your down, try the following bonus technique for a different way to improve your skills after level 71.

Level 71+: Bonus (Pyramid Plunder)

Personally, Pyramid Plunder is the top part of the thieving skill set. To begin, you'll need to complete the The Icthlarin's Little Helper quest in Sophanem. Contact the Wanderer with either a cat or kitten watching you. You'll probably also want fill out the Contact! Quest form if you opt for this method of accessing the bank.

If you've followed the Ranged 1 up to 99 skill guide, you'd already have completed the quest when training against the Scarabs So, congratulations! It's also an enjoyable break from all the clicks you've made since you reached level 55.

Visit head to Jalsavrah Pyramid at Sophanem to start the minigame training with these prerequisites taken care of. The game begins after the chat with the guardian mummy ends. Loot as many rooms as possible in the five minutes you're given and be on the lookout for traps.

While searching through urns or chests, it is possible to get poisoned from time to time, so food and poison will be of great help. Still, they will also consume valuable inventory space. The amount you take with you will depend on how much loot need to carry and since you've completed Contact! (you were able to complete it, right?) you'll be able access to any bank, whatever you choose.
