We're not trying to announce an expansion each year because we're not going to make it happen. I think what we've learned is that it's impossible to create a worthy WoW expansion in this timeframe. There's no reason to sacrifice patches in order to accomplish it in the first place, particularly if it's low good quality. Our focus should be on doing the right way for our players and making sure that if you have a WoW subscription, there's fresh content on the table or just around the corner to look forward to the majority times. That means a steady stream of content telling the stories of the worlds we're building with our expansions, and when the appropriate time comes buy WoTLK Gold, we'll move to the next expansion. If it's a brand new setting, a brand new antagonist, a new set of characters, and new settings and so on, that's fine. In the end, it won't necessarily benefit anybody.
In hindsight, there's plenty we could have completed with Warlords of Draenor in terms of stories that did not get completed. We set up subplots and other villains that weren't fully solved. We showed the plight of the Draenei, Shattrath City, which is located in the middle of Draenor Then we moved on to the final issue that the antagonist faces. Leaving that unresolved. We're trying to not do this in Legion. It's all about striking the right balance. There's a huge amount of stories creating the world while also delivering new content. Then, once an expansion of the game is ready and the people are ready for it, they move onto that.
Another balance to strike is around players who are at the highest levels and totally engaged in the new content when it is released and players who play casually and taking it all in their own way. How are you approaching that?
It's challenging since, as the saying suggests, you're not able to please everyone all the time. But , as a team, we have, to try to do this buy WoW WoTLK Classic Gold. It's a matter of its sheer variety and diversity in content, and approaches to the game.
