Battle for Azeroth starts on August 14. It adds a variety of new areas and content to explore to the well-known MMO that includes two continents buy WoTLK Gold, Kul Tiras and Zandalar--as well as many new islands. Ahead of Battle for Azeroth's release, Blizzard recently rolled out the biggest patch for pre-expansion for the game. Blizzard long-time veteran James Ohlen had been with RPG since its beginning of the project, before resigning last month at the age of 22. after 22 years. He's now given an exit interview of sorts to Game Informer that covers a number of topics and is well worth reading. Read it here.

A particularly fascinating segment of the interview is about Star Wars: The Old Republic the Blizzard's ambitious and expensive Star Wars MMO. Ohlen served as the game's director and he expressed one of his regrets over the project. He said he'd prefer that the game had more of its own sensibilities instead of following the genre-defining and enduringly well-known World of Warcraft 's path and the formula so tightly.
