Magic Missile, Haste, Invisibility are the bread of mages and butter Dark And Darker Gold. You can utilize a specific dagger quarterstaff or magic swords to compensate for the lack melee damage.
- So you can dance around enemies and harm them without even wasting one single attack.
Perhaps you haven't watched an anime about dungeons
I played and played Tarkov until I understood the game and started to perform better. The game is a bit different its cues from Tarkov in the loot system but not gameplay. There's a distinct difference between "You were sniped by a scav because you walked through an extremely open space while fighting scavs, giving away your place of residence" as well as "this flying insect required 2 lightning bolts and two ice bolts strike and killed you in 3 hits". The former you can learn from and use to your advantage. However, the latter is not possible. You shouldn't be forced to run through circles or backwards. Or bait attacks and move back. I'm a wizard. If I'm unable to cause damage, then what am I worth? Does the meta truly "use each and every one of your spells in each room + meditate before you go on"?
I haven't tried in groups yet, might later, however, I'm not sure I'll be making a difference if I attack my fellow players with spells (which I'm guessing will be the case as enemies can strike each other). It's impossible to fit 3 players against 4 zombies in a tiny space with no verticality and expect them having front, middle, or back lines. Left-clicking does jack everything with the staff. needing to stop to cast an attack (which is completely reasonable since you're a wizard) ensures that your enemies catch up and you basically switch blows it is also the case that certain spells hit you, too. In the first battle, I'm on 20% hp Dark And Darker Gold for sale.
