I’ve never played Diablo to completion in single-player mode, and I couldn’t be more excited.
That said, perhaps the best feeling from Diablo IV came just today when my NC-based friend and I booted it up for our first-ever co-op session: him as a Rogue, me as a Sorcerer. True, I’d played through the first few hours a few times alreadybut for once, I found myself giving him advice.
How the tables have turned, but in the best possible way. It finally feels like I understand the true depth of his appreciation for the series. I just hope plenty of other filthy casuals finally take the plunge, because Diablo IV really is one for the ages.
Helltides are already one of my favorite endgame activities in Diablo 4, where every other hour or so, the map gets scorched and players fight overleveled enemies for a temporary currency, cinders, used to open a number of chests around the map. 75 for armor, 125 for a weapon, etc. These have a high chance of dropping Sacred Legendaries cheap D2R ladder items, but as it turns out there’s a way to make Helltides almost crazily rewarding: Mystery Chests.
