Path of Exile 2, previously expected to release this year, will now launch in 2024 for PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Meanwhile, the latest expansion for the original Path of Exile, titled Trial of the Ancestors, is set to release on August 18, 2023, for PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. In the expansion, players will journey to the Karui afterlife and assemble a team of warriors to take on fallen chieftains in tournaments. Each match allows players to choose a tribe to compete against and strategically place their warriors on the battlefield to destroy enemy totems. The expansion introduces new rewards, including Passive Tree Tattoos and Omens, as well as the return of the Forbidden Sanctum expansion content.
