Old School Runescape players are finally voting

Nine years since the game first introduced, OSRS gold players are finally voting to introduce the first-ever new skill in the game. This is a significant occasion for the MMO that has long been resistant to modifications to the game of this size. Old School Runescape will begin with a community-based consultation on the new feature in the month of January 2023.

Old School Runescape was first launched in 2013. Utilizing a 2007 version of the game to provide an alternative for Runescape 3. which a lot of players left because of a series of unpopular decisions made by the developers. Old School Runescape has been heavily influenced by players, with each update being subject to an overwhelming vote prior to its development. If no one votes the update is canceled. This strategy has proven successful for Jagex and has led to Old School Runescape having greater concurrent users than the more recent version.

The idea of introducing a different skill is talked about over the years as the game gets older, but players have always resisted the idea of a polling booth until this point. The developer Jagex initially launched the poll on December 10 and will run until the 16th of December. The poll was clearly stated that anything less than the majority required could lead to buy RS gold the idea being discarded. The poll soon became the most popular one ever in Old School Runescape history, surpassing even the Group Ironman Mode poll, which had more than 190.000 players making their voices heard.
