How to Double-Corrupt Items in PoE2
Step 1: Obtain Access to Double Corruption
Double corruption is not done through standard crafting benches or Path of Exile 2 Currency items. Instead, it requires a special endgame mechanic tied to corruption-focused content.
This content is usually unlocked through late-game progression, making double corruption a true endgame activity.
Step 2: Choose the Right Item
Before double-corrupting, make sure the item is worth the risk. Ideal candidates include:
Powerful unique items used in endgame builds
High-end rare items with near-perfect rolls
Build-defining gear pieces that benefit heavily from implicits
Many players prefer to double-corrupt items that are already corrupted once, as they are no longer useful for standard crafting anyway.
Step 3: Initiate the Double Corruption
Once inside the appropriate corruption encounter:
1. Place the item into the corruption device
2. Confirm the action
3. Accept that the result is irreversible
The game will then apply two corruption outcomes at buy Path of Exile 2 Currency once.
