Diablo 4 Annihilus Guide from U4GM for Season 15

Annihilus drops from the rare Echo of Uber Diablo that may appear after a World Boss, and the Seal unlocks six Charm slots. In Diablo 4 Season 15, the encounter is a possible endgame follow-up, not a Reliquary reward or a known crafting recipe. For a separate preparation option, D4 Gold is available to review before heading back to the World Boss route.

Follow the World Boss Route

The Echo is not a guaranteed spawn after every World Boss, and its exact trigger has not been confirmed. No special quest step or confirmed vendor exchange is required by the reported route.

Check the in-game World Boss timer and travel to the marked arena before the encounter ends. Pick a difficulty your character can handle consistently.
Defeat the World Boss, then stay in the arena instead of teleporting away. Watch for the alert "Diablo walks the earth" and look for the Echo to appear afterward.
If the Echo appears, fight it promptly and remain in the area until the encounter is over. Leaving during the fight risks missing the opportunity to finish the encounter.
After defeating the Echo, inspect the loot and your Talisman inventory for Annihilus. If there is no alert or Echo, continue playing and try again after another World Boss.

The alert followed by the Echo confirms that the follow-up encounter has started; finding Annihilus in the loot or Talisman inventory confirms the drop. A missing Echo is not evidence that a quest step failed. Do not treat any particular Stone of Jordan salvage count as a confirmed trigger.

Compare Annihilus Rolls and Charm Slots

Annihilus occupies the Seal slot, not a Charm slot, so its six unlocked Charm slots remain available for set pieces and Unique Charms such as Hellfire Torch. The listed bonus ranges are variable, so compare each copy by its actual tooltip rather than assuming every Seal has maximum rolls.

+10% to +20% to All Stats
+10% to +20% Resistance to All Elements
+5 to +10 to All Skills
+5% to +10% Bonus Experience

All Skills can matter more to skill-focused builds, while All Stats and Resistance to All Elements can help cover defensive or stat needs. Bonus Experience is more useful during leveling; at endgame, compare it with the combat value of your other Seal options instead of treating it as an automatic upgrade.

Plan the six Charm slots around the bonuses your build needs, especially if you are trying to activate a preferred set effect. Annihilus can sit alongside a Unique Charm, but that does not make it the best Seal for every setup. Compare its rolls and open Charm capacity with the effect of your alternate Seal before changing your Talisman arrangement.

Avoid the Common Hunt Mistakes

Leaving as soon as the World Boss dies is the easiest way to miss the reported follow-up. Stay in the arena, watch for the alert, and do not leave while the Echo is active. If the Echo does not appear, resume normal activities rather than repeatedly changing your setup based on an unverified spawn theory.

Check that your loot filter displays Unique Seals before the fight. Afterward, inspect both the visible drops and the Talisman inventory; do not mistake Annihilus for a Charm when sorting your loadout.

Season of Hell's Legacy is the anniversary season, but its Reliquary and seasonal questline are separate from the reported Annihilus hunt. Season 15 also has Horadric Cube recipes for rerolling eligible base affixes on Charms and Seals. Review the recipe preview and material cost first: a reroll does not change a Unique power or a Seal's set bonuses.

Finish the seasonal questline before using a Prime Evil Soul Splinter. Patch 3.2.3 prevents early use from blocking quest progress, but it does not reset characters already affected; a new character in the same mode partition can complete the questline to unlock Prime Evil Powers for that partition. Before the next World Boss, check your Unique Seal filter, choose the rolls your build needs, and review your material plan; if you choose to source supplies separately, compare buy diablo 4 mats, then reach the marked arena before the fight ends.
