NFL rookies are disappointed by "Madden 22" ratings "You've got to alter that'


Yesterday, the scores of Mut 22 coins the top ten rookies were announced and the Detroit Lions first-round pick, Penei Sewell, was among the players who received their first Madden rating.

Sewell's 75 overall rating makes him the highest-rated rookie offensive lineman , which isn't a surprise as the highly sought-after Oregon product was the first off the list on draft night. Atlanta's tight end Kyle Pitts, the fourth choice in this year's NFL Draft, leads the way for the rookie class with an 81 overall at launch. Two players selected later than Sewell at the time of the draft in April had overall ratings higher than him Denver's Patrick Surtain II and Philadelphia's DeVonta Smith.

Last year in the Lions' first-round draft selection Jeff Okudah was rated 76 overall rating. But, following an injury-prone year, it will be interesting to know how he is rated in Madden this year.

As we inch closer to the release date on August 17th, Pride of Detroit will give more analysis and ratings details.

EA Sports' "Madden" ratings aren't always the most pleasant, particularly to newcomers.
