Jagex must adjust to the new realities. Fmods are to be dropped. Fmods need to be made a full-time job with Jagex RS Gold 2007. Fmods will no longer refer to users in the forum as "you all" or other such phrases. Seriously some Fmods are killing sections of the forums.
Second, update forums with more voice and more options. Allow players to ignore other users and use other tools to create networks on forums. The RS forums must be as flexible as Facebook and permit grouping. But player driven, not all the secret forums Jagex has been putting on the forums and turning forums into rigid regions.
Get a player council up, let players vote for 12 members who are able to decide updates from budget. It's a modest one with an estimated budget of $900k per year. If you must make use of Facebook and Twitter, use these to provide dialogue for the forums.
This will stop years from repeating 2012's mistakes. Jagex didn't listen to players in 2012. Jagex's claims that 90% of players love SoF and that 80% love EoC are just plain silly are just one instance. Emotional nonsense, adapt or die Buy RS Gold.
