Thrall possessed the Doomhammer with WOW TBC Gold integrity and honor throughout the years. But, after his execution of the warchief who was a traitor Garrosh Hellscream Thrall was discontented. Guys, it's a metaphor. Thrall is getting older and his penis isn't working as well. He's unable to feel the "elements" or what have you, because he has lost his passion. He has to get super-male energy.
In fairness, Thrall should have won without any luck because he's the best fighter. But there would have immediately been calls from the wow fandom claiming that there was nothing more than a Mary Sue.
His record of performance is abysmal. The majority of fights he lost or didn't win quite. Thrall is mentioned as having held back in the duel they had in WotLK, in the Mag'gora battle against Cairne He was poisoned by the Axe and Varian kicked his ass.
Really, I believe the only notable character the man beat in a fair fight was Taran Zhu, and even the fight was very close.
He lost completely in the final battle with Thrall. I'll be honest, he lost his second fight against Varian as well as his duel against Cairne. He was defeated the first time but was cut short, and he won the second unfairly.
They battled three times but was interrupted three times. The second time they clashed in Wolfheart, Varian only gains the upper hand since Lo'Gash has blessed him and has unbeatable stamina. They're equally matched each time they clash during the tides of War.
He was a Mary Sue from the buy Burning Crusade Classic Gold beginning. He was a better fighter than Orgrim Doomhammer, but also an expert in the art of shamanism.
