I mean it's not always the chiefs running 3 WR's. It is stuff like the Madden 20 dump offs to RB's and TE's will go away. Teams such as the chiefs and Mut 23 coins Bucs take advantage of guys like Mike Evans, tyreek and Godwin and will throw downfield. Ravens will have RPO and read alternative plays. Franchise is where it will be different and I'm not sure it will do the job for draft. Wether whether it is trainer based or it is dependent upon the players attributes is where it is be interesting. They mentioned a coverage feature which allows you to adhere closer to a reciever on media plays and from my understanding'tethers' you to the guy. This then gives more space for user feedback to them with animations that look natural to a man in person coverage on a reciever. Provided that you're within a few feet you are getting this little"bonus" to coverage.
How that plays out only time (a few weeks) will tell, but I would count this is a good change to gameplay. The bugs in Madden NFL 23 beta fucking player pictures that were wrong and were rainbow colored arms. Not 1 gameplay related issue. The same people playing the beta are those that report here on reddit which mouthpieces are overlooking or the hair of player x isn't correct rather than identifying gameplay that is incorrect. To be fair - even though the most reported bugs were gameplay associated EA would not have the ability to fix them. Their engine is limited, they'd need to reprogram the whole game from scratch to even be able to fix minor problems - so they simply put band aid over it. M16-Madden NFL 23 are the exact same game. Nothing changed. More group aids on newer maddens however, the problems exists since forever.
Gameplay feels smooth and far more realistic than Madden NFL 20. The run game is still great but less overpowered. Lamar is insane to use. The RPO is not the best this year. Attempted one, don't really have opinions on displays and obtained select 6'd. Slants are really OP. D-line user is certainly the move this season but you are still able to change it up and use the LB's however you can not shield two or three paths at once anymore. I've seen people stating defense is difficult to use but I had no issues from madden 23 coins cheap the game I played with, clamped the guy down and left him anger stopped.
