Talk about games in general! Sony Reveals its Plan to Close the PS4Sony has revealed that it's planning to close down its PlayStation 4.
First released back in 2013 The PS4 has gone on to become not just one of the most popular consoles from Sony, but it's also become one of the top-selling gaming platforms of all time. Despite this, Sony is now looking to sell the PS5 as its main hardware, which means the PS4 will soon come to its end. With the new guidance from Sony it is now possible to get an idea of when the PS4 might actually go away.
In Sony's latest financial report, it was clarified that games for PS4 will disappear by 2025. This doesn't mean the older PS4 games will no longer be available for purchase. However, Sony will definitely have finished releasing new games on PS4 by this point.
Instead, by 2025 Sony has predicted that by 2025, most of its revenues related to games will come from PlayStation 5, with titles for PC and mobile devices also contributing in the other half of its income.
In general, this probably shouldn't be too surprising given that the PS5 is expected to be Sony's primary goal in the years to future. Yet, it's important that at this very moment the PS4 is a platform Sony is still producing and releasing games for. In fact, the most anticipated PlayStation games, God of War Ragnarok is expected to arrive on PS4 whenever it does arrive.
In the next few years, Sony will likely end by making a larger announcement about its PS4 and the end of its life cycle. We've been told, though, this announcement should end up coming about in 2025 or so So, be sure to diablo II resurrected items prepare accordingly.
