What did you think of when you saw yourself featured on Madden cover?

In that game [Denver], once I got through all the players, I ran over one linebacker, and then over somebody else. If I'm not mistaking it I also hit their All-Pro linebacker [Karl] Mecklenburg and then swept past the defensive back to Mut 22 coins an end line. This is one play that stands in my mind because I must do everything to get someone to miss, jump in the air, get low, and sprint for 60 yards to score one touchdown.

I just sat and thought, "Man, you're still a winner. It was something I did right. That's the message I give to players who are like Derrick Henry and Saquon Barkley Take it slow and do it correctly. If you're successful the first time, you'll be remembered for a lifetime.

The Madden curse doesn't have any effect on you at this point is it not?

Why is there a Madden curse? [Laughs.] It can't affect me.

It was not your idea to play with you on the field in Tecmo Bowl. Are you gonna play with your self in Madden?

I'm not sure. But the thing that I'm doing right now is spending a lot spent with my new grandchild. So I'll probably get the game but save this for my son. However, I'm looking forward to the game's release. Be assured that I'll have my collection of Madden games to give out to my family and friends as Christmas presents.
